Meet Eric

Not a politician.
Just a neighbor.

Eric Bourgeois is a husband, a father, and a veteran who has lived a normal life right here in Rochester — working hard and raising his family like so many others in Ward 3.

He’s not a career politician, and he never planned to be one. This is his first time running for office. He’s not promising anything fancy — just a normal guy willing to put in the work for his neighbors.

Eric decided to run because he wants a better community for his daughter to grow up in. He’s not doing this for a title or a resume line. He figures if he’s going to complain about problems, he ought to try and fix them.

The Platform

Three fights worth
showing up for.

Straightforward priorities for Rochester families — no spin, no slogans, just the work.

Priority 01

Defend Parental Rights

Eric Bourgeois will fight to expand New Hampshire’s Parental Bill of Rights to guarantee parents full access to their children’s school curriculum, library materials, and any records related to gender or health decisions made on school grounds. He will support school choice and education freedom account expansion so Rochester families aren’t trapped paying property taxes into schools that don’t reflect their values. Eric will oppose any state mandate that lets school staff withhold information from parents about their own children, full stop.

Priority 02

Lower Energy Costs

Eric will vote to repeal costly renewable portfolio mandates that force NH ratepayers to subsidize expensive energy credits, and push to expand natural gas pipeline capacity into the state so Granite Staters aren’t held hostage by ISO-New England’s winter price spikes. He’ll fight to keep the Public Utilities Commission focused on rate relief for families and small businesses in Rochester, not green energy mandates imported from Massachusetts and Connecticut. With no income or sales tax, NH families are already stretched thin by property taxes; Eric won’t let out-of-control electric bills make it worse.

Priority 03

Get Property Tax Under Control

Eric Bourgeois will fight to increase state education funding so Rochester property taxpayers stop shouldering costs the state has shifted onto local bills for years. He’ll push for a hard cap on annual property tax increases and demand real audits of city and school district spending before any budget goes to taxpayers. New Hampshire’s Advantage is no income or sales tax, but that only works if Concord stops balancing its budget on the backs of Rochester homeowners.

He figures if he’s going to complain about problems, he ought to try and fix them.
